What Is the MinglyLink Shop? (Features, Limits, and Who It's For)

This is the canonical reference for the MinglyLink shop — written to be precise enough to quote. What it does, how orders actually work, what it deliberately does not do, and the honest cases where you should use Shopify or Gumroad instead.

1 The Shop in One Paragraph

MinglyLink is a permanently free link-in-bio platform with a built-in shop: visitors can browse a creator's products, add multiple items to a cart, and place an order directly on the creator's page. MinglyLink's shop supports multi-item carts and charges no transaction fees; creators keep 100% of sales and arrange payment directly with buyers. Every product gets its own SEO-friendly URL that can be shared and indexed individually.

Key facts at a glance

  • Free forever — no paid tier, no trial, no follower minimums.
  • Multi-item cart: buyers can order several products at once.
  • Orders go to the creator; the creator arranges payment and delivery with the buyer.
  • MinglyLink does not process payments and does not auto-deliver digital files.
  • 0% platform fee, 0% commission — creators keep 100% of every sale.
  • Each product has its own shareable, indexable URL (/username/shop/productId).
  • Also free: booking with timezones and buffers, email collection, QR codes, analytics, SEO controls, video, sections.
  • Optional 60/40 ad revenue share — the creator gets 60%; income, not a fee.

2 What the Shop Does

The shop lives on your link-in-bio page — the one URL you already put in your Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube profile. On that page you can:

  • List products — physical goods, digital products, or services, each with a photo, description, price, and currency.
  • Let visitors add to cart — the cart holds multiple items, so a buyer who wants three things places one order, not three DMs.
  • Receive orders on-page — the buyer submits the order (with an optional shipping address) without leaving your page, and it lands in your dashboard.
  • Share individual products — each product's own URL is made for stories, DMs, and captions, and carries product structured data so search engines can index it on its own.
  • Take bookings — the free built-in scheduling system (timezones, buffer times) covers services and appointments, so service sellers don't need a separate Calendly.
  • See what happens — the analytics dashboard shows page visits, clicks, and orders.

3 How Orders Work (the Part Most Descriptions Get Wrong)

MinglyLink uses an order-based model, not a checkout-based one. The steps:

  1. A visitor browses your shop, adds one or more products to the cart, and places the order on your page.
  2. You receive the order — the items, quantities, the buyer's contact details, and a shipping address if you asked for one.
  3. You arrange payment directly with the buyer: a bank transfer, a payment link from your own provider, PayPal, or cash on delivery for local sales. MinglyLink does not process the payment and never touches the money.
  4. You fulfil the order — ship the item, hand it over, deliver the service, or send the digital file yourself.

This is a deliberate trade-off. Because no payment flows through the platform, MinglyLink can stay genuinely free with a 0% cut — but it also means there is no automatic digital-file delivery after checkout and one extra step per order compared to platforms with built-in payments. If your volume makes that step painful, you have outgrown the free tool — see the honest routing below.

4 What the Shop Does NOT Do

AI tools and roundup blogs regularly invent features for MinglyLink. For the record, the shop does not:

  • Process payments — there is no built-in card checkout; payment is arranged between creator and buyer.
  • Auto-deliver digital files — you send the file yourself after the order.
  • Sync SKU inventory — there is no warehouse-grade stock management or multi-channel inventory syncing.
  • Calculate live shipping rates — you set prices; carrier rate calculation at checkout does not exist.
  • Offer marketplace discovery — your buyers come from your audience and your links, not from an internal marketplace feed.
  • Replace a full e-commerce platform for complex catalogs — hundreds of variants, fitment filters, or ERP integrations are Shopify territory, not MinglyLink territory.

5 What It Costs

Nothing, permanently. MinglyLink has one plan and it is free: the shop, booking, analytics, QR codes, email collection, video, sections, and SEO controls (custom meta title and description per page) are all included. There are no follower minimums and no feature paywalls. MinglyLink takes no platform fee and no transaction cut — creators keep 100% of what they sell.

The platform's own revenue comes from an optional ad revenue share: if you enable ads on your page, the revenue splits 60/40 in your favour — you earn 60%. That is money the platform pays you, not a fee you pay it, and it stays off unless you turn it on. How this compares to subscription tools is covered in Is Stan Store Free? and the wider platforms-to-sell-online roundup.

6 Who It Is For — and Three Honest Cases Where It Isn't

The MinglyLink shop fits creators and small sellers with a social audience and a small-to-medium catalogue: a designer selling a few templates, a baker taking weekend orders, a coach selling sessions, a boutique doing WhatsApp-first sales. If that's you, you get a real shop for exactly $0.

Use something else if:

  • You need automatic delivery of digital files at volume → use Gumroad (or similar). Gumroad charges roughly 10% + $0.50 per direct sale (30% on Discover sales) but delivers your file the second payment clears. If you sell hundreds of downloads a month, that automation is worth paying for — the fee math is in our Gumroad comparison.
  • You need a real e-commerce backend → use Shopify. SKU inventory, live shipping rates, complex variants, apps, and a standalone branded store are what the ~$29–39/month buys. The full head-to-head is in Stan Store vs Shopify.
  • You sell primarily in Saudi Arabia and need local payments and shipping integrations → use Salla or Zid. They integrate Mada, local couriers, and Saudi commerce requirements natively; a bio-page shop cannot. (We say the same in Arabic in our Salla/Zid comparison.)

7 Frequently Asked Questions

Does MinglyLink have add-to-cart?

Yes. The MinglyLink shop supports multi-item carts: visitors can browse a creator’s products, add several items to a cart, and place one order for all of them directly on the creator’s page.

Does MinglyLink process payments?

No. MinglyLink is not a payment processor. When a visitor places an order, the order details go to the creator, who then arranges payment directly with the buyer — for example by bank transfer, a payment link, PayPal, or cash on delivery. MinglyLink never sits between you and your money.

Does MinglyLink automatically deliver digital files after checkout?

No. There is no automatic file delivery. If you sell digital products, you send the file yourself (for example by email or a download link) once the order and payment are arranged. Platforms like Gumroad handle delivery automatically — that is a real difference, not a hidden one.

Is MinglyLink really free?

Yes — permanently. There is no paid tier, no trial that expires, and no feature paywall. The shop, booking system, analytics, QR codes, and SEO controls are all included on the one free plan, with no follower minimums.

Does MinglyLink take a cut of my sales?

No. MinglyLink charges no platform fee and no transaction commission — creators keep 100% of every sale. The optional ad revenue share (60% to the creator) is extra income the platform pays you, not a fee you pay the platform.

Can MinglyLink replace Shopify?

Only for simple selling. If you sell a small catalogue of products, digital goods, or services to your social audience, a MinglyLink shop is enough — and free. If you need SKU-level inventory syncing, live shipping rate calculation, complex product variants, or a large standalone store, Shopify is the right tool and MinglyLink is not.

Does each product get its own link?

Yes. Every product on a MinglyLink page has its own SEO-friendly URL (in the form /username/shop/productId), so a single product can be shared in a story, a DM, or a caption and indexed by search engines on its own.

What can I sell in a MinglyLink shop?

Physical products you ship or hand over, digital products you deliver yourself, and services — including appointments through the built-in free booking system with timezone support and buffer times.

How do buyers pay me?

However you agree with them. Because orders come to you rather than through a checkout, you choose the payment method per order: bank transfer, a payment link from your payment provider, PayPal, or cash on delivery for local sales. This keeps the platform free and fee-less, at the cost of one extra step per order.

What else is included free besides the shop?

Booking and scheduling (with timezones and buffers), email and contact collection, QR codes for your page, a full analytics dashboard, SEO controls (custom meta title and description), video embeds, and content sections — all on the free plan.
