A link in bio for home bakers: your cake order form
A home baker’s link in bio can be your cake order form. On a free MinglyLink page customers add cakes or treat boxes to a cart, write the date and the message in a note and send one order; you confirm it, and they pay you directly.
What to put on your page
- A photo of a signature cake and one line on what you bake and where you deliver.
- Your cakes, cupcakes and treat boxes with photos and prices, one product per size.
- Ingredients and allergens in each product’s description.
- A section header that says how much notice you need.
- Your WhatsApp for questions, and a contact form for custom cakes.
- An email sign-up for seasonal menus.
What it does
- Buyers add several products to a cart and place one order on your page.
- An order carries the items and quantities, the buyer’s name and email and, if given, a phone number, a shipping address and a note.
- Every order lands in your orders dashboard, where you move it from Pending to Confirmed, Preparing, Shipped and Delivered, or cancel or reject it.
- You get an email for every new order.
- The buyer gets an email when they order, with a tracking link, and one each time you update the order. Replies go to you.
- Each shop sells in one currency you choose from 30, including GBP, EUR, CHF, USD, CAD, SAR and AED; prices, orders and emails show it.
Limits
- Orders have no date picker or cut-off time yet: customers write the date in the order note, and you confirm or reject the order.
- Not included yet: card payments through MinglyLink, automatic file delivery, stock tracking, shipping rates and order export.
- MinglyLink doesn’t calculate, add or collect sales tax or VAT: buyers see the prices you enter.
- Up to 100 items on a page (products, link cards, services, social links and section headers).
How payments work
MinglyLink takes 0% of your sales. Buyers place the order on your page and pay you directly, however you agree: cash on delivery, bank transfer or your own payment link, outside MinglyLink. When card payments through MinglyLink launch, they will carry the card processor’s fee plus a small MinglyLink fee; orders paid to you directly stay at 0%.

Frequently asked questions
Can my link in bio work as a cake order form?
Yes. Customers add cakes to a cart and order with their name and email; a phone number, an address and a note are optional, so they can write the date, the message for the cake and any allergies. You confirm or reject each order in Studio → Orders.
How do customers pay?
MinglyLink takes 0% of your sales. Buyers place the order on your page and pay you directly, however you agree: cash on delivery, bank transfer or your own payment link, outside MinglyLink. When card payments through MinglyLink launch, they will carry the card processor’s fee plus a small MinglyLink fee; orders paid to you directly stay at 0%.
Can customers choose pickup or delivery?
A delivery address is optional on an order, so customers who collect leave it empty and say so in the note. Delivery fees aren’t calculated for you: add delivery as its own product or agree it with the customer.
Do I need to register to sell cakes from home?
Usually, yes. In the UK you register with your local council as a food business before you start selling; in the US, home baking falls under your state’s cottage food law. Elsewhere, check your local food rules. MinglyLink doesn’t check this for you.
Is it free?
One plan, and it’s free: the shop, booking, analytics, QR codes and email capture are included.
